Qualifications: A PhD in Education is preferred. A MAEd or a MEd will be considered with at least five years of recent and relevant experience. Candidates must have experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, extensive knowledge of diagnostic assessment tools appropriate for this population, and experience in developing individualized educational service plans to support curriculum access. Candidates should also have extensive knowledge and experience in the development and teaching of courses at the graduate level in the area of specialty. Candidates should also have the ability to effectively utilize blended learning along with specific skills in utilizing Blackboard Collaborate and other forms of distance education.
Duties: Preparation, teaching, student consultation, grading and marking, distribution of student evaluation questionnaires, involvement in student appeals, and other duties appropriate to the appointment. All distance (DLCE) courses require completion of current technology orientation from DLCE.

Remuneration: Remuneration is in accordance with the Collective Agreement between Mount Saint Vincent University and CUPE 3912

The following is the current stipend schedule contained in the Collective Agreement, including 6% vacation pay. Stipends listed correspond to a full unit (1.0) course. Contract stipends will be prorated according to the course unit value.
